This really depends on how you are targeting the fish. If trolling or livebaiting then a quality 50lb or 80lb class rod matched with a minimum of a 50 sized twin speed multiplier loaded with 500m of 130lb braid and a mono topshot will cover you for most scenarios.
If casting lures or poppers then 7.5 - 8.5 ft casting rod that is capable of casting upto 150g, for use with PE 8 - 10 braided mainlines and drag settings of 15kg plus. Reel wise then a quality fixed spool reel that can take 300m of 100lb braid and can apply 15kg + of drag is a must. BFT will test your kit to the limit so invest in quality tackle.
